- 2 lbs Desiree potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks

Instructions
- Boil the Desiree potato chunks in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter and milk to the potatoes.
- Mash the potatoes using a potato masher until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and white pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped chives before serving.
Vegetarian Desiree Potato and Leek Gratin

Instructions
